gif89a My Diary | Ophelia - Part 3

Tuesday, November 1, 2011

Last night (Monday October 31st) we did Halloween. I was worried we would miss it because of the snow-storm and the power outage. But it all worked out. I didn’t wear my CAT IN THE HAT outfit. Now, I am asleep at the the La Quinta. On Saturday, a NorEaster flew in and dumped an unceremonious 12 inches of snow on our State, pulling down trees and of course predictably knocking out the power. This is the second time in as many months having negotiated Hurricane Irene under the same circumstances, except now it is freezing cold. After one night at home and plans to stoke up the fires, we capitulated and escaped to a Hotel. One very scary night in which Poppy dodged power lines and downed trees and thick snow to take us out for dinner and then get us home. There are over one million people without power so we are in good company. If its doesn’t harm you, it makes you tougher, right? O.

Saturday, October 29 2011, Over 400,000 Hits!!

For all of those who scroll down to the bottom of my Home Page, this is an exciting moment.
I just passed the 400,000 mark on the number of hits on my site. I am not sure what that means but it sounds better than 400. O.

Here we are at the GYM in Armonk. Felicity has just told Poppy that nobody has her name except a doll and the wife of Mr. Fox in the movie. Poppy commiserates. At the weekend we go and play at the GYM whilst Mamma and Poppy get fit. Afterwards we order our own smoothies. My favourite is Banana with Peanut Butter. Felicity had a Rainbow shake. We had fun. Today we had to rush becauise there is a big wet snow-storm which is going to drop about 8 inches of snow. This is the most, according to Fox News (my favourite) since the 1950′s. This is a good or a bad start to the winter depending on whether you are young enough, like me, to enjoy making snow-men and getting cold. It may crimp our plans for Halloween on Monday though. I have a Cat-in-the-Hat outfit but I am thinking of being a pumpkin instead.

October 2011, School Field Trip to Stepping Stones Museum in Norwalk

I went for my first field trip with Mr. Sweeney to Stepping Stones Museum with my First Grade Class from Parkway. Great fun on the Yellow Bus. Here are my pictures.

October 2011

I spent time brushing up leaves with my sisters.

September 2011

Poppy and I went down to play on my jungle gym which is almost in the jungle that surrounds our house, populated by a crowd of animals of all sounds and sizes.
I swung on the money bars and giggled until Poppy laughed. I walked back up to hill by myself for the first time and Poppy did not have to carry me.
Poppy took me to school the other day and put me on the wrong bus. But I made it to school!
I am in Kindergarten now with Mr Sweeney. He is great but he always puts my DVD player in my cubbie when I come to school.
Helped F&L pick up leaves on Sunday.

Sunday November 28th, 2010

The day before my i-Pad wipe-out I had lunch with the McQ’s. Emma and I shared milk at L’Escale in Greenwich. This is going to be a habit. Emma sent me this pic for my web site. O.
